Privacy Policy

The following statement aims to explain what and how we (at MUSLIMATES) collect your (App and Website users) information.

The personal information we collect:

1. If you sign up using the available methods (by Google Id or by Phone number), we store your email-id, name. If you also save your gender, we keep that in our database; however, it’s optional.
2. If you track your prayer information through our app or track your daily adhkar, we also store that information.
3. If you create an event in a mosque, we store that you have created  the events.
4. If you edit your user profile, we store the latest information you saved in your account.
5. When you report (for example, any issue in the adhkar section), we use your default mail app to send the issue details (including your device information). However, you can edit and remove any information you would like to send to us in the email body. When you press the send button for the email, we consider it has reached us with your permission.
6. To calculate the prayer schedule, we need to know your precise location and time zone. However, we don’t store your location data anywhere in our database. 
7. The location information is used with your permission. 
8. We retrieve your time zone (required for prayer time calculation) using google APIs from your location. In this case, we send your location co-ordinate to the google api. But this activity is not linked with your personal location history. It is done anonymously.
9. We use your location data to determine qibla direction.. The calculation happens in the app itself. 
10. We also use the location to find out your nearby mosques. In this case, we send your location co-ordinate to the google api. But this activity is not linked with your personal location history. It is done anonymously. 
11. In case of any crash in the app, we use google’s firebase crashlytics to track it. The crash reports help us fix the bugs. We also track the app performance and diagnostics using google analytics feature.

14. We have provided you with the option to delete your account from our application (Account -> Edit Account -> “I want to Delete My Account”). When you do so, all your personal user information is deleted permanently. There is no possibility of restoring the deleted data. However, we anonymously retain your contributed information (like mosque information that you added, events that you created).
